That’s right. The Lohman’s have officially moved to the West Coast! We now call Newport Beach in SoCal home. (Excuse me while I mildly freak out about the fact that I live in FREAKING SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA) I truly am shocked to say it oddly feels perfect and comfortable, as if we were meant to be here!
It’s no secret that the mom jean has had a major comeback. While I was a major hater at first (the extreme runway styles always scare me off), I’ve come to absolutely love and adore this trend. There is just something about a high rise, light wash, and amazing fit that does wonders on the body, without looking like you tried too hard. My goal every day is to look effortless, which is why I try to only buy practical items that don’t require too much thought — enter, the mom jean.
I have always been a wedding lover! Call me a sap, but I tear up at every single one, I can’t help it. Half the fun though is planning out your outfit and accessories. What is awesome is that every wedding is a little different which creates the challenge of what is appropriate attire. For example, if the invite says black tie you aren’t going to wear a sundress, but if it’s on a beach you wouldn’t wear a gown. Here are my top picks for this season based on a variety of ceremony styles to keep you looking on-trend, but far from trendy.
This post is about all of the Glossier products I currently own, use, and love. I wear these products very regularly, and they kind of have become my go-to look. Before having Jude, I frequently wore a full face of makeup — foundation, bronzer, lipstick — the whole shebang! Now, I genuinely do not have the time to even think about putting all of that on, and plus I hate the thought of it transferring to his sweet, baby skin.
You guys, I think Spring is finally here to stay!!! The forecast finally doesn’t dip below 70° for the foreseeable future - HALLELUJAH! Is it just me, or are the Midwest winters getting longer and longer? I probably sound so old, but I can’t stand the cold much longer. It’s wearing on me! I love the whole cozy sweaters, fireplace on, cuddle up and snuggle in a nook bit for a little bit, but come February I’m so over it. It’s nice to take down the holiday decor and Spring-ify the interiors, even if we can’t bust out our favorite lightweight attire just yet.
